Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WatchyBird ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you play the game on iPhone and Apple Watch. WatchyBird is a free, ad-supported arcade game.

Summary

  • We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name, email, or contact details.
  • The App shows ads through third-party networks (Google AdMob and Unity Ads / LevelPlay). To do so, those networks may process your device's advertising identifier and related usage data.
  • We ask for your permission before any tracking (Apple's App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, you still get ads — just non-personalized ones.
  • You can remove all ads with a one-time in-app purchase.

Information collected

We do not collect personal data directly. Our third-party advertising partners may collect or receive the following to serve and measure ads:

  • Device identifiers — including the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), when you allow tracking.
  • Advertising data — which ads were shown, viewed, or interacted with.
  • Product interaction / usage data — app launches, taps, and gameplay events used to deliver and measure ads.
  • Approximate location — coarse location (not precise GPS) that ad networks may infer for ad relevance.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or any sensitive information.

App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On first launch the App asks whether you allow tracking. Your choice controls whether advertising partners may use your IDFA to personalize ads:

  • Allow — you may see more relevant (personalized) ads.
  • Ask App Not to Track — you still see ads, but non-personalized ones.

You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone.

Advertising partners

The App uses the following third-party ad networks, each governed by its own privacy policy:

For users in the European Economic Area and the UK, we present a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) before serving personalized ads, as required by GDPR.

Game Center

If you use the leaderboard, your score is submitted through Apple's Game Center. Game Center is operated by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

In-app purchases

The App offers a one-time Remove Ads purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment details.

Children's privacy

WatchyBird is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will address it.

Your choices

  • Limit ad tracking — decline ATT or reset your advertising identifier in iOS Settings.
  • Remove ads — buy the one-time Remove Ads in-app purchase.
  • Manage consent (EEA/UK) — your consent choice is collected at first launch.

Data retention

We do not maintain our own user database for the game. Any data processed by our advertising partners is retained according to their respective policies linked above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
